CORE SKILLS - VALUE SCALE EXERCISE

In this video, I will demonstrate and explain how to master one of the most important building blocks of drawing and painting; the value scale.

Value scales are in everything we do as artists. The more efficient and fluent we are when executing them, the easier of a time we have communicating how light is described on form, in our work.

These are meant to be done as repetitions, much like practicing a major or minor scale when learning a musical instrument.
